Hey y'all,

Keep an eye out for my botched Idol audition when the show starts up. I went along to the auditions on Saturday, and I got through the first audition singing some Pearl Jam, Audioslave, and finally 3 Doors Down. I got a blue card to audition for the executive producer and got a pink card once I got through that.

Out of the one thousand or so people that auditioned on Saturday 73 of us were sent to Rydges on Monday to audition for the four TV judges (Dicko is back), in front of cameras.

Well, we all rocked up at 9am and it was a long day. They had filmed 3 interviews with me, and shot me warming up by about 11:30am so I figured it wouldn't be long before I went in, but it wasn't until about 4pm that I went up to see the judges. One of the interviews was particularly amusing. The producer was asking the sort of questions you would expect from a reality TV show, and I just talked shit and took the piss  Keepin it real!

I went a bit hard warming up, and considering I wasn't too phased about getting through, I was surprisingly nervous when I went in. What a shocker! I came in out of key and I couldn't hold my pitch much at all. If they edit me in anywhere it is guaranteed to be a riot. Considering they must have almost 10 minutes of footage with me in it I wouldn't be surprised if some of it went to air for the Brisbane audition show.

There was only two accepted by the time I had my shot, and one was the girl before me. I heard they finished up at about 9:30pm. It is very interesting to see it from the inside before editing is done. It was basically just what you would expect from a reality TV show.

It's been ages since I've felt that kind of pressure before, so it was definitely a great experience at performing/auditioning. Much tougher than the first time I performed on stage, and the first auditions were a walk in the park compared.

11 years in the making my sister and her partner have tied the knot. Couldn't ask for a better brother in law, and as he mentioned in his speach on the night, they've been happy long enough.

 

So I've got some photos from my cousins happy snaps of the night and uploaded the best looking ones for y'all to take a peep. The day was absolutely fantastic.

The only thing worse than spotting mosquitos coming in for the kill is watching bloated ones fly away.

 

I swear to god I've killed enough mossies in the past few nights to feed a third world country.

PC's totally fucked, well almost toatally. I can get it running for about an hour before it falls over if I have to.

 

What a shock.
